Studying pharmacy in Russia
Pharmacy is often chosen by default, after a score too low for medicine. That is a shame, because it is a track with its own outlets — retail, pharmaceutical industry, control laboratories — and a shorter programme than general medicine.
The programme in practice
- Length: 5 years, preceded by the preparatory language year for Russian-taught tracks

Recognition and practice on return
As with medicine and dentistry, degree recognition and authorisation to practise are two separate procedures. Make sure before enrolling that the pharmacy programme is accredited at the target university.
